Rest Days - why you need them for muscle growth!

When we exercise and we feel that "burning" sensation in our muscles we are actually creating small tears within the muscle tissue. It's actually within the rest phase of training that the body works to repair these tears in the tissue, thus making it stronger, and increasing its ability to handle more resistance in future training sessions.
