Cardio or resistance training, which is better for weight loss?

This is honestly the most frequently asked question I receive, and with so much social media surrounding it, it's not hard to understand why. The truth is that there is no one size fits all approach to weight loss, or body re-composition. This is because we all start from different places, and because our bodies are different, they will react differently to different styles of training. That being said, changing your body composition comes from focusing on exercises that will both increase your lean muscle mass, and get your heart rate into the optimal range to encourage fat burning. Sounds like a lot, but it really comes down to exercises that utilize multiple muscle groups at the same time, which will both improve your cardio respiratory system and overall strength at the same time. As they say, work smarter, not harder!
